Everyone made me feel really welcomed and comfortable. They gave me and my baby an amazing care . We like this place and I’m glad I had the experience I had here. The nurse's in the NICU was outstanding!

First time here, no wait to be seen. Both nurse and doctor saw me quickly and have been both friendly and professional. At no point have I felt mistreated or anything like that which tends to happen to me whenever I visit the ER. not that I want to visit the ER but life happens and since I take narcotics I'm often viewed as being abusive with my meds which feels awful. At no point in the 35 minutes that I've been here has anyone been mean, rude, disrespectful or condescending in any way. I'll admit that I thought 3pm might be a busy time but not really or perhaps that its Wednesday. Pioneer is typical of other Steward hospitals in Utah and I'd prefer not to be in a hospital at all but if I'm in the area and in need of medical attention I honestly can say I'd return. I was worried about all the 1 star reviews and I'm not one to say they are unfounded but I'm certainly not having a bad experience and from what I can see Pioneer got a bum rap. Also please don't get me wrong with the 4 stars, my 4 is like most people's 5. For me to give 5 stars I expect top notch service. While writing this review the doctor returned to give me an update on my X-Rays, kinda surprising really, in my experience the doctor often only makes an appearance once and a nurse does everything else. They got me in and out of here in less than 1 hour. Damn good service for a 2.6 star hospital

The labor department was the most amazing experience for me. I had a really hard labor experience. Everyone made me feel really welcomed and comfortable. They took amazing care of me and my son. I love this place and glad I had the experience I had here. If I ever decide to have another baby I'd definitely be coming back here.

The care I've received on multiple occasions during mental health crisis have always been professional and adequate. I appreciate the majority of staffs lack of judgement on my situations. I have always been treated well here; They make sure I have eaten, have something to drink, and am comfortable. They ensure my safety with constant checks, psych evaluation, and resources. Thank you all so much for providing the care I need during my times of distress.

I had the best care. The nurse's in the ICU was outstanding! I couldn't ask for better and we've been in all thr major hospitals in the Salt Lake valley!

I've had great Dr.s Nurses, the whole medical staff. From mammograms to x-rays. Including surgery as well. For me I trust the care ive gotten here

We came to Jordan Valley Medical Center for the birth of our fourth child. The part that stood out to us was the nursing staff and how happy they act in the labor of taking care of families. Our provider Dr. Quinn OB/GYN was very professional and caring and was able to negotiate a very large baby into the world. We would highly recommend Jordan Valley hospital to anyone that believes the experience a hospital provides adds or detracts to the experience of having a baby.

I had no problem with them. The staff, every single one of them, were kind & attentive. Got in the ER at 5 AM. I was taken right back, evaluated & by noon taken to the cath lab & taken care of.

I was here last October 16th because I was having nausea that was getting bad & I either came or went here by ambulance(Gold Cross)from the airport & had blood work taken & then was given an IV to rehydrate me!I was told by Dr.Flammer that I had pancreatitis because my either enzyme or lipase levels were in the 300's!After I was discharged,I went to drop some stuff off to a friend of mine in the rehabilitation center & then had left to catch the bus to go catch the green line to go catch the red line to go get my prescription for nausea filled & then back to go catch the green line to go to the airport to take the 453 to get back to Tooele!While I was waiting for the 453 to arrive,I called my Dr.'s office to get looked at the next morning,but couldn't be seen by my regular Dr.,so I was seen by someone on my care team!

My wife in ICU holding onto her life. I believe they're doing all possible. Very kind staff but day head nurse? Power Happy! Very! Rude denanding ignorant. We never met, I've been by my wife's side 18 hours a day. This lady comes at me with her power of authority. Who is she to tell me?? My IQ , College, knowledge, people I know, my net worth could out her from a job. Back off lady. Especially when thats my wife of 33 years. You lack people skills especially when life or death involved!!! Talked to me like a little kid. ALL others i give A+ too. Thank you. Just save my wife, please God!

We had a good experience here. Nurses we kind and funny. In and out.

I had sudden pain in my left side and after several hours drove myself to the ER. It was mid morning on a Tuesday. It was all I could do to drive there and then walk across the street and up the ramp to the ER door. I walked in doubled over in pain. No one was in the waiting area and to my right I saw a window with a dark haired woman talking to what looked like a male maintenance worker. I waited at the window for several minutes with no acknowledgement from the woman who had her back to the window. I finally asked if I was in the right place... the ER? I could barely stand and was getting nauseated. (If I had been having a heart attack, I guess the woman at the admitting window may have noticed me as I hit the floor. I am still in shock someone so disinterested works in that department when minutes count.) Through the window she asked me for insurance documents. I could barely speak or stand and told her I had been there recently for a procedure and nothing had changed and would she please look up my info? I told her I had to sit down or I would fall down. I told her the on-call doc I had spoken to earlier suspected a bowel obstruction. She opened up the door and had me sit on a chair beside her. She was very rude as she continued to ask me more questions (not related to how I felt) that I could not answer due to being in so much pain. After what seemed like forever, she had me walk down a long hallway. I could barely stand and walking was almost impossible. I kept wondering why she didn't get me a wheelchair? Once I was away from her, my experience went from horrible to great (if you consider being in the ER great). The medical staff was a bit disinterested and chatting among themselves when they were in my room. The nurse gave me a cup and pointed to a restroom across the hall expecting I could walk over there and get a sample and walk back on my own. As much pain as I was in, nauseated and dizzy, I thought that was not a safe thing to have me do alone but she did not offer to help me and walked away so I was on my own. The doc was wonderful. He spoke with me about my symptoms as he got my pain under control. After I had settled down and breathing normally, I was taken to have a CT scan. The tech that took me to the CT was very nice and the CT tech was nice. He took me back to my room to rest and after about 45 minutes the doc came in and told me I had kidney stones. Better than what we initially thought but so painful. The doc was very nice and calming. He explained everything and said after resting another hour or so I could go home since he thought the stones would continue to pass on their own, which they did.

I had a medical scare.. Was very emotional and in pain. The night before I went to Jordan Valley I was in the E.R. at Cox South. I was there 6 hours, they did a CT scan, X-rays, EKG, and loads of other stuff just to tell me my heart and lungs were fine when I checked in for breast tissue pain. The next day I went to Jordan Valley, I didn't meet one person who wasn't kind and courteous. All my questions were answered and my worries resolved. Would suggest Jordan Valley to my dearest friends.

Both times I have had my grandson there I have been treated pretty good. This time I believe was better then the first. I was taken a bit more serious with what my grandson was going through. More staff seemed to care and be responsive. And security was great. Down to the crisis worker that had come in, he had worked with my daughter in another place, and very understanding. Thank you again.

Like a previous reviewer, I also stayed here (about five days in October) for mental health reasons , and to be honest, I wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for this hospital. I was improperly diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder in 2013, and this hospital was able to get me the correct diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder after nearly killing myself during a manic episode. I am also a mental health clinician at a residential treatment center, so this review does come from a place of experience. Of course when you enter an inpatient hospital for mental illness, you're going to be surrounded by other people with mental health issues. I feel like that's just common sense, and it's not fair to judge other people for the severity of their mental illnesses. I saw that someone gave this place a one star review because they were surrounded by people with SCHIZOPHRENIA, and I found that appalling. My therapist (Tracy) was very kind and attentive. The other therapists were also very nice and ran good groups. The nurses were sweet and extremely compassionate as well as patient when answering a lot of my basic questions. The doctor and psychiatrist helped me understand my disorder better and got me on a medication that eventually didn't work out for me, but that's also the name of the game when you're dealing with mental illness. To expect to be able to get the right medication for your mental illness on your first time seeing a doctor is absolutely ridiculous. Unlike a regular doctor who can do x-rays on a broken arm, a doctor specialized in mental health has to operate based on self reporting and their own knowledge of symptoms and medications that alleviate those symptoms. The communication could be a little bit better. I never really knew when I was seeing certain medical staff, but at the same time, the main focus was to get to a better place mentally. If I would've known exactly when things were going to happen, I wouldn't have been able to concentrate on my own wellness because I'd be too focused on getting out like the majority of other patients. I'm now seeing an outpatient therapist (Martha) with this hospital who has walked me through my own processing of life and has helped (and is still helping) me in so many ways. 4.9/5 stars

They give you the attention you need! Very friendly and professional! No complaints at all!!! Womens and birthing center are awesome!

I gave birth at this hospital and it was an amazing experience. The nurses were so sweet. They were so helpful and attentive. I was very happy I chose to give birth here!

I went to the ER after I cut my foot boating. The nurses brought me back from the waiting very quickly. The nurse was very polite and nice. The Doctor was very nice and did an excellent job with the cut to my foot. Overall I was very satisfied with the staff, if needed I will be back in the future.
